Signal Mountain Homecoming

Tonight is the Homecoming game for Signal Mountain High School. Last night was the Signal Mountain homecoming parade and pep rally. This was not only the celebration for Homecoming but it is also the 10 year anniversary of the school opening so there are activities and celebrations throughout the year.

The Mountain Education Fund is a non profit that collects private donations that are distributed throughout Nolan Elementary, Thrasher Elementary and the Signal Mountain Middle High School. I had the privilege as the MEF Chair this year to ride in the parade on the MEF float.

It has been several years since I was on one of the flats so it was different to be one of them throwing out candy and not in the crowd. The thing that most people love about Signal Mountain is the small town feel that you get here. Most areas do not shut down he middle of town for 3 hours for a homecoming parade.
