Interior Design at the flipper bend StillHouse
While I wasn’t looking for more work, I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to decorate a gorgeous space that I was so proud to have a very small hand in bringing to the public domain. The Flipper Bend Stillhouse is the community gathering spot in a gated community nestled on the brow of Signal Mountain. It is breathtaking!
The developers live on Signal and spared nothing in creating a legacy of casual luxury on their beloved stomping ground. It will surely outlive many generations to come. You really should visit it to understand.
While I wasn’t expecting this to land in my court, and certainly wasn’t planning to show anyone what I did in the process. I did take a few, fairly awful, pictures with my phone over the course of decisions. I think I’ll spare you my wonky pics and simply share my sources.
More than anything, I would have to point to the fine folks at Fowler Brothers that helped us select quality pieces that bring comfort to the whole space. The leather Chesterfield sofas are divine! I would also be remissed if I didn’t mention the custom bar and hall tree built by my dear friend, Kevin Mulkey, with the aid of his son, Andrew, and sweet Curtis Stowers. Finally, the whopping 60”x60” coffee table came from Pottery Barn and is an indoor/outdoor piece, so durable!
The artwork consist of beautiful photography of Flipper Bend by the talented and local Kathleen Greeson and are printed on extra large canvases. The mounted heads were graciously loan to us from a couple of our own builders! Isn’t that something. We have some fine marksmen in our midst, and what beautiful creatures they have harvested!
I found many of the nic-nacs at predictable places like, Hobby Lobby (mirror, florals, pillows), Home Goods (throws and throw pillows), Marshalls (candles and containers), Bealls (small tray), Target (candles and pillows), 2nd and Charles (I do love books so much!), flea market (old moonshine jugs), Lowe’s (plants), Barn Nursery (large pots), Faribault Mill (wool throws), and Amazon (more books).
Hope on over to the Flipper Bend website to soak in the beautiful spaces captured by the special talents of Creative Revolver and POMKT.
Yours truly, Tina
